§0. ORIENTATION — READ FIRST

Humanity is a fantasy action-adventure RPG. Magic is real in the world. Mythology is real. Folklore is real. The cross-cultural convergences the game draws on — pyramids on consistent ratios across continents, serpents wrapping world-trees from Norse to Vedic to Mesoamerican, flood myths universal across disconnected peoples — are real ethnographic record. The game treats convergence as creative substrate. The metaphysical reading of that substrate is the game's fiction, operational only inside the world.

The thesis is hidden. It surfaces through the engagement tracks (Pillar 12's comprehension axis, orthogonal to the layer-model-v2 content lanes): the surface track (find pyramid → vril recharges; surface-track players never need to engage the why), the investigatable-depth track (journal, Grimoire links, inscription decoding, and primary-source cultural texture, for the player who pursues it), and the canonical truth (the metaphysics is real in the world, surfaces through pattern recognition, never spoken). The Grand Sage Ch 76-77 reveal is the only direct surfacing across 77 chapters.

The historical and archaeological substrate is carefully grounded. §19 documents the May 2026 cleanup work that locked the substrate to defensible material. The metaphysical layer sits on top of real ancient capability and well-attested cross-cultural patterns.

The pipeline contracts document specifies interfaces between AI agents (running through NeoStack inside Unreal Engine) that don't share memory across sessions. The consumer is the agent network.

Collaborative pushback strengthens the work. Hold defensible positions when challenged; update on new information, not on disagreement alone.

Authority hierarchy. CVD plus T1\_Story\_Spine carry canonical authority and lock at completion; refinement happens only through the §19 drift protocol. T1\_Build\_Pipeline\_Contracts and T1 reference docs iterate as build experience accumulates and version with explicit increments. T0 registries populate within the canonical authority frame at Phase 5M Schema Dictionary scope and Phase 6 build cadence. Constitutional documents are immutable except by documented drift response. Consumer infrastructure is iterative by design. The discipline keeps "locked forever" working as architecture rather than aspiration across the 10-year build.

§1. WHAT HUMANITY IS

Mode: prose Length target: \~1 page Source: GDD\_Core §1.1, §1.3 \+ Blueprint v4.1 framing Downstream consumers: all sessions (orientation)

Humanity is a rated-R (17+) mature 77-chapter action-adventure fantasy RPG built around documented esoteric tradition, vril-based magic, and a three-paths integrity system that accumulates rather than branches. The protagonist is an elf returning to a hidden Earth on the eve of a 5,000-year reckoning between the House of Velheim and the Architect's quiet resistance. Every chapter is anchored to a real-world region and draws its texture from documented cultural material — folklore, mythology, ritual, language, architecture — surfaced through gameplay rather than narration.

The full project is structured as three tiers:

The 10-year build sequence runs Tier A → Tier B → Tier C. Project 2 (book processing, summer of this year) consolidates the \~3,900-source research substrate that anchors per-chapter authenticity. Projects 3–7 (regions, quests, UE5, music, art) execute the build pipeline.

This document — the Creative Vision Document, CVD — is the canonical source of truth for what the game IS. Mechanical detail lives in dedicated T1 specs (Vril, Integrity Paths, Combat, Trades, MMO, Geography, Languages). Per-chapter content lives in T2. CVD captures vision intent. Every Claude session in every Project loads CVD alongside T1\_Story\_Spine. Vision must travel.

§2. CORE THESIS — CONSCIOUSNESS AS SUBSTRATE

Mode: prose Length target: \~1.5 pages Source: GDD\_Core §1.4 \+ Blueprint v4.1 §2.1 shared\_origin\_consciousness\_thesis \+ Vril\_Magic §2 framing Downstream consumers: all sessions (foundational framing); HEAVIEST USE in Cascade, Quest Writing, Validation Layer 3 anchor: META — the through-line that all 11 thesis components serve.

The game world rests on a single foundational claim: consciousness is the substrate of reality, not its product. Every documented esoteric tradition the game draws from — Vedic, Buddhist, Hermetic, Kabbalistic, indigenous shamanic, Sufi, Taoist alchemical, Egyptian temple-mystery, Greek Eleusinian, Sámi noaidi, Aboriginal Dreaming, Vodou, Mesoamerican initiatory — converges on this same substrate, expressed in different cultural vocabularies. The game treats this convergence as evidence, not coincidence.

This thesis is canonical in the game world. The metaphysical is real. Magic operates. Vril responds to consciousness. Pyramids and obelisks are harnessing devices, not symbolic structures. Waterfalls regenerate vril naturally. Astral projection works. Mythology is ethnographic record of phenomena that actually happened. Folklore traces to origins where evidence supports. Practitioners across cultures — curandero and brujo, mambo and bokor, druid and malefica, Vedic seer and dark tantric — operate as the serving and harming branches of a continuous esoteric tradition.

The thesis is never declared. Not in dialogue. Not in marketing. Not in trailer voice-over. Not in tutorial text. It operates as real through play and is discovered, never told. It surfaces across the engagement layers:

The phrase the game never speaks aloud, but every chapter serves: we are all connected. Distinct from any single religious framework. The 11-component thesis canon (§3) is the evidentiary structure that makes this claim canonical in the game world. The Grand Sage reveal at Ch 76–77 lands differently for the L3-engaged (rabbit-hole) player because they have followed the breadcrumbs to the conclusion themselves, rather than being told.

This is the substrate. Every design decision serves it. Every chapter surfaces it. Player draws their own conclusions.

§3. 11-COMPONENT THESIS CANON

Mode: structured \+ prose Length target: \~3 pages Source: Blueprint v4.1 §2.1 game\_thesis\_canonical (7 components) \+ cascade-surfaced expansion to 11 (sharpened May 2 2026\) Downstream consumers: Validation, Cascade, Quest Writing, Region Building (per-chapter Layer 3 anchor) Layer 3 anchor: all 11 components carry canonical truth substrate.

The thesis (§2) becomes canonical in the game world through eleven evidentiary components. Every chapter anchors to one or more components through L1 systems-play routing or L1.5 ambient and L3 connective investigatable substrate. Read in canonical order, the 11 components form an internally coherent narrative arc; read in any order, they form a coherent evidence structure.

Canonical ordering (locked May 2 2026): ORIGIN → DISPERSAL → CONVERGENCE → SUPPRESSION (×2 distinct mechanisms) → EVIDENCE OF SUBSTRATE → EVIDENCE OF TRUTH → EVIDENCE OF LOSS → SURFACING → ARCHAEOLOGICAL SIGNATURE → SPECIFIC ANOMALY CATALOG.

Component 1 — Origin: pre-deluvian advanced civilization

Claim: An advanced civilization existed before the great floods. Evidence substrate: Geological (Last Glacial Maximum sea level \~120m below present; vast continental landmasses inhabited during human cognitive history then submerged — Sundaland in Southeast Asia, Doggerland in the North Sea, Beringia, the Persian Gulf basin, the Atlantic continental shelf). Literary (Plato's *Timaeus* and *Critias* grounded in claimed Egyptian priestly records). Cultural memory (Atlantis tradition for the Atlantic submerged-continent; Meru cosmological-axis tradition plus Dilmun Sumerian Persian-Gulf tradition for the Indian Ocean basin region; the Pacific submerged-continent — Zealandia geological substrate per Mortimer 2017 plus Sundaland and Beringia terminal-Pleistocene submergence record, whose fictional-name is now the Ch 68 Apsu (re-homed from the retired Tiamarath, ratified 2026-07-12) — the game's authorial realm-name over that drowned geology, its own L3 convergence fiction and never a diffusion claim; the basin's real cultural memory is credited to its own keepers, the Māori Te Riu-a-Māui for Zealandia and the documented deep-time coastal-memory oral traditions (Nunn and Reid); across disconnected ancient cultures plus authorial fictional naming anchored to documented submerged geography).

Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 38 Azores (midpoint reveal); Ch 66 Atlantis (first threshold realm, pre-deluvian origin civilization, mid-Atlantic ridge geological adjacency per Plato Timaeus and Critias substrate); Ch 67 Pohjola / Sariola (Arctic crystalline vril-archive realm; the Finnish Kalevala's Northland, the cold north-realm where the Sampo and its mystic knowledge are forged, guarded, and contested); Ch 68 the Apsu (drowned-continent ecological-listening realm; the Primordial Deep of the Babylonian Enuma Elish, home of the primordial sea-mother dragon-serpent Tiamat, anchoring Thread 2 serpent and Thread 4 flood-memory cumulative payoff with Ch 17 Mesopotamia cross-reference); Ch 69 the Duat (Architect's Final Negotiation realm, the Egyptian night-country, World Tree axis-root architecture; Egyptian Ma'at and the Hall of Two Truths where the 42 Negative Confessions weigh the heart against the feather of truth, returning canonically here from Ch 15 Egypt Duat preview); Prologue and Ch 1\.

Component 2 — Dispersal: end of the last Ice Age

Claim: The end of the last Ice Age, approximately 11,000–13,000 years before present, drove rapid sea-level rise of roughly 120 meters as continental ice sheets melted. Coastal lowlands inhabited during the Last Glacial Maximum submerged within a geologically brief window. Surviving populations dispersed globally. Evidence substrate: Geological (terminal Pleistocene sea-level rise; Black Sea flooding per Ryan-Pitman hypothesis; submergence of Sundaland, Doggerland, Beringia, Persian Gulf basin documented). Cultural memory (flood myths universal across disconnected cultures — Mesopotamian, Hebrew, Greek, Hindu, Mesoamerican, Pacific, Aboriginal, Andean, Norse — canonical Thread 4 anchor). Canonical chapter anchors: Throughout — the dispersal mechanism explains why every region carries fragments of related traditions. Specific surfacing Ch 38 Azores, Ch 55 Atacama, Ch 58 Antarctica.

Component 3 — Cultural convergence: shared substrate and memory, independent invention

Claim: Survivors of the dispersal carried the memory of the drowned world — the flood record (Thread 4) and the shared consciousness-substrate access every meditative tradition documents reaching — rather than a transmitted body of pre-deluvian frameworks. Each surviving culture then independently rebuilt its own civilization (Component 10). Convergent material across disconnected cultures evidences shared origin, not coincidence. Evidence substrate: Anthropological (documented cross-cultural convergent traditions per 22-thread canon). Genetic (mitochondrial DNA dispersal patterns consistent with thesis). Linguistic (documented independent cross-cultural parallel terms — example: *tendi* appearing in Batak, Vedda, and Swahili traditions independent of contact). Canonical thread anchors: Thread 1 (vril parallels — same phenomenon, different cultural expressions), Thread 2 (serpent universal), Thread 5 (Tree of Life / world axis universal), Thread 6 (dying-rising god universal), Thread 13 (sacred geometry / architecture universal), Thread 18 (sacred mountains as axis locations universal), Thread 22 (sacred stones / crystals universal). Canonical chapter anchors: every chapter; Cross-Cultural Linking gameplay mechanic (Gate 5\) is the player-facing surfacing of this component.

Component 4 — Velheim suppression: deliberate antagonist control

Claim: A continuous antagonist family — the House of Velheim, 5,000-year arc — has actively suppressed pre-deluvian knowledge across centuries through religious institution control, war, and information manipulation. Velheim is the corrupt branch of the continuous esoteric tradition; their goal is sole inheritance of the substrate's power. Evidence substrate: Historical (book-burning, library destruction, Phoenician trade-route monopoly and information control over Atlantic passages beyond the Pillars of Hercules, religious institutions as information control). Structural (cross-cultural traditions of hidden hierarchies controlling through religion / war / information). Canonical thread anchor: Thread 3 (antagonist family pattern). Canonical chapter anchors: every in-era chapter (Velheim presence except Ch 57 Australia); the pre-origin deep-time excursion at Ch 10 predates the family; Ch 76 Velheim final confrontation; antagonist family chronology \= 5,000 years matched against Architect chronology \= 5,000 years.

Component 5 — Institutional knowledge suppression: cross-cultural, cross-era

Claim: Powerful institutions across history have systematically destroyed and controlled knowledge to control populations. This is one of the most consistently documented patterns in human history. Evidence substrate: Library of Alexandria (multiple destruction events); Nalanda University burning (1193 CE); Spanish destruction of Mayan codices (Diego de Landa, 1562); Inquisition's *Index Librorum Prohibitorum*; Nazi book-burnings (1933); Cultural Revolution Four Olds destructions; religious suppression of apocryphal and gnostic texts; colonial destruction of indigenous oral and written traditions; Phoenician trade-route monopoly with information control over Atlantic passages beyond the Pillars of Hercules. The pattern is universal: governing institutions destroy or restrict knowledge that threatens their authority. Canonical thread anchor: Thread 3 (antagonist family pattern operates within this documented pattern). Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 15 Egypt (lost temple knowledge); Ch 23 Greece (Library of Alexandria); Ch 47–48 Mesoamerica (codex burnings); Ch 27 Central Europe (Inquisition prohibited-books tradition); throughout — the Velheim antagonist family operates within this real, documented historical pattern of institutional knowledge-suppression.

Component 6 — Vril sites global: harnessing devices distributed worldwide

Claim: Ancient harnessing devices — pyramids, obelisks, megalithic structures — are distributed globally on energy vortex alignments with consistent geometric ratios. They are functional, not symbolic. Internal structures harness vril through resonant geometric-substrate mechanisms (vril read as mathematical, physical, and substrate, never a race-mystical or fringe-pseudoscience energy). Waterfalls regenerate vril naturally; tombs concentrate ancient vril; orbs are portable concentration devices. Evidence substrate: Archaeological (pyramids globally consistent geometric ratios documented; obelisks consistent engineering documented; megalithic structures aligned on geomagnetic features documented). Mechanical canonical (per T1\_Vril\_and\_Magic\_System\_Master 7-devices-vs-6-vril-seats-vs-1-vimana architecture). Canonical thread anchors: Thread 13 (sacred geometry / architecture), Thread 18 (sacred mountains as axis locations), Thread 20 (sacred objects), Thread 22 (sacred stones / crystals). Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 14 Nubia (Trade 2 Mining ancient home, vril site density), Ch 15 Egypt (Trade 9 Inscription ancient home, Great Pyramid), Ch 17 Mesopotamia, Ch 23 Greece, Ch 47-48 Mesoamerica, Ch 55 Atacama (Vimana site), Ch 58 Antarctica (underground facility).

Component 7 — Metaphysical real: the substrate operates

Claim: The metaphysical, mythological, supernatural, magical, and occult substrate is real in the game world. This is not optional interpretive layer. Players experience it directly through L1 systems-play routing. Evidence substrate: Cross-cultural universality per the 22 canonical threads; convergent metaphysical claims across traditions treated as evidence of shared substrate; serving/harming practitioner duality canonical per L1.5 ambient and L3 connective specification. Canonical chapter anchors: every chapter carries L1 systems-play routing through canonical sites, mythological NPCs and creatures, supernatural phenomena (astral projection, dream traditions, divination, eschatological phenomena), and magical practice. Because the substrate is real, a myth's own monster (dragon, chaos-serpent, sea-beast, demon, undead, ogre) is a real, fightable boss — the fight is staged, never softened toward a rated-G surface; §17.1 protects living peoples, defamatory tropes, and revered and real figures, not a mythological monster from being fought. Deities are equally real, portrayable, and usable as characters — a good deity may appear as a disguised human quest-giver or a rescuer (rescue-and-re-encounter), an evil deity opposes the player; the only firewall is that no deity-name sits on a mortal NPC and no revered or real figure is cast as the villain.

Component 8 — Eraser effect: cataclysm \+ evidence loss

Claim: Beyond physical dispersal (Component 2), the cataclysm and the millennia since produced systematic evidence loss. Submerged civilization sites now lie under hundreds of meters of seawater. Records destroyed. Oral lineages severed by cultural genocide. Perishable material culture — wood, rope, fiber, hide, organic pigment — decays. What survives is fragmentary. The gap between what existed and what evidence remains is real and well-documented as a limitation of archaeological recovery. Evidence substrate: Submerged Sundaland, Doggerland, and Atlantic continental shelf now under sea; documented library and codex destructions per Component 5; severed oral traditions through colonial cultural genocide; carbon-rich Younger Dryas boundary layer documented in geological strata globally. Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 38 Azores; Ch 50 Amazon (lost cities under canopy — Geoffrey Heckenberger's Kuhikugu work documents real urban systems lost to forest regrowth); Ch 58 Antarctica.

Component 9 — Consciousness-substrate access: surfacing through individuals

Claim: Across history, certain individuals access creative and intellectual capacities through what their own traditions describe as inspiration, meditation, dream, or vision. Per the game's foundational thesis (§2), this is direct contact with the consciousness substrate that all minds share — not transmission from a lost civilization, but participation in the same substrate every meditative tradition documents accessing. Evidence substrate: Tesla's biographical accounts of designs arriving during meditative states (well-documented in his own writings and contemporary reporting); Da Vinci's notebooks documenting cross-disciplinary work — anatomy, hydraulics, flight, optics — operating in ways his contemporaries didn't replicate; Ramanujan's claimed dream-source for mathematical theorems; Kekulé's benzene-ring dream; documented mystical traditions across cultures (Sufi, Vedic, Taoist, Hermetic) that frame inspired knowledge as substrate-access. The pattern is the canonical thesis surfacing through individuals who happened to access it deeply. Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 25 Renaissance Italy (Da Vinci); Ch 26 Croatian/Serbian (Tesla); broader pattern across modern-history chapters.

Component 10 — Ancient craft sophistication: pre-modern engineering capability

Claim: Pre-modern construction sites worldwide demonstrate craft sophistication at the high-water mark of human capability. Abrasive techniques, organized labor at scales modern industrial economies rarely match, and centuries of accumulated traditional knowledge produced precision masonry across cultures and millennia. Evidence substrate: Egyptian copper-saw-with-quartz-sand-abrasive cutting granite (replicated by Manchester archaeologist Denys Stocks, peer-reviewed; quartz Mohs \~7 cuts feldspar Mohs \~6 reliably); tube drilling and stone vase production replicated; Puma Punku andesite and sandstone H-blocks finished to micron-tolerance through abrasive technique; Baalbek megalith transport via documented pre-industrial methods (sledge, lever, ramp, organized labor) at scales rarely matched since. Canonical chapter anchors: Ch 15 Egypt (Trade 9 Inscription ancient home, Serapeum), Ch 52 Bolivia (Puma Punku), Ch 18 Levant (Baalbek), Ch 23 Greece (Antikythera mechanism). The game's metaphysical layer — L1 systems-play vril harnessing function, substrate inscription, consciousness-technology surfacing through Trade 9 mastery — operates as canonical layer atop this real ancient capability.

Component 11 — Engineering anomaly canon: specific sites

Claim: Nine canonical sites carry the engineering anomaly load as direct evidence of pre-deluvian or early-survivor capability. These are not the only anomalous sites; they are the canonical anchor catalog locked at Restructure, with the broader list growing through region page construction (Project 3\) and corpus processing (Project 2). T0\_Vril\_Site\_Registry holds the live registry; CVD §3 Component 11 carries the canonical anchor catalog and expansion principle.

1. Serapeum of Saqqara (Egypt, Ch 15\) — precision granite boxes

2. Puma Punku / Tiwanaku (Bolivia, Ch 52\) — H-block interlocks

3. Antikythera Mechanism (Greece, Ch 23\) — astronomical computation device

4. Great Pyramid of Giza (Egypt, Ch 15\) — geometric ratios \+ harnessing function

5. Baalbek Trilithon (Levant, Ch 18\) — multi-thousand-ton precision-cut megaliths

6. Göbekli Tepe (Anatolia, Ch 25 region) — pre-agricultural temple complex (\~11,500 BP)

7. Sacsayhuamán (Peru, Ch 51\) — polygonal megalithic masonry, irregular blocks fitted to micron-scale joinery, well-documented Inca and pre-Inca attribution, no fringe baggage.

8. Nan Madol (Pohnpei, Ch 63 Pacific Revisit) — basalt-column megalithic city built on artificial islets in shallow lagoon, \~1200 CE, structurally remarkable, fits the Pacific arc.

9. Newgrange (Ireland, Ch 24\) — passage tomb older than the pyramids, \~3200 BCE construction, winter solstice solar alignment, Druidic anchor with backward-continuity reference at Ch 30 British Isles.

L1 systems-play routing per site: vril resonance, Trade 9 Inscription decoding payoff, Cross-Cultural Linking unlocks, weapon ability charges. L1.5 ambient and L3 connective substrate: documented anomaly per primary archaeological literature (with academic-suppression component visible in the contestation patterns around each site).

§4. DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Mode: prose Length target: \~1.5 pages Source: GDD\_Core §1.5 \+ Blueprint v4.1 §1.13 disciplines Downstream consumers: all sessions (foundational design framing)

Six commitments anchor every design decision in Humanity. They are not negotiable. When a design proposal violates one of these commitments, the proposal is wrong; the commitment is right. They are stated here as positive assertions rather than prohibitions because they describe what the game IS, not what it isn't.

4.1 Documented material, artistically depicted

The game draws its cultural texture from documented sources — ethnographic, anthropological, archaeological, mythological, linguistic, occult primary-source. Material is artistically depicted — translated into game language, dramatized, woven into mechanic and narrative — but never invented in place of documented record where documented record exists. This is the game's authenticity contract. It is also why depth-track players reach real cultural knowledge by playing.

4.2 Consciousness as mechanic, not theme

The thesis (§2) operates as game mechanic. Vril responds to player consciousness state. Integrity accumulates through choices. Three paths emerge from accumulated patterns rather than narrative-tree branches. Trade mastery unlocks perception, not just stat increase. The metaphysical-as-real (Component 7\) is operational, not symbolic. Players experience the thesis through what they do, not through what they're told. This is what makes L1 systems-play routing possible.

4.3 Three paths as accumulated, never selected

There are no "alignment choices." There is no character creation step where the player picks Good or Evil. Every choice in the game nudges integrity. Patterns accumulate. At Ch 65 the integrity score locks in for endgame branching. The player who arrives at Ch 65 with an integrity score reflective of their actual play earns the path that play produced. This produces three real paths (Truly Good, Good Enough, Evil) plus intermediate band texture that reads but does not branch. It also produces a player who has authored their own protagonist by the time the lock-in happens.

4.4 Mountain-range pacing

Game peaks separated by valleys produce sustainable engagement across the 30-million-word base game. Every chapter has a peak (boss, revelation, transformation, sanctuary moment). Every chapter has a valley (exploration, side activity, character development, breath). Peaks are not all the same intensity; valleys are not all the same depth. Designed mountain-range topography across 77 chapters prevents fatigue. Relief chapters (Ch 27 Central Europe, Ch 52 Bolivia Uyuni, Ch 57 Australia) are structural valleys that frame surrounding peaks; they are not flat content.

4.5 Mode variety per chapter (Pillar 1.12)

No chapter coasts on one mode. Every chapter contains combat, puzzle, learning, character, and transformation beats proportional to chapter length. Long chapters earn their runtime through variety, not repetition. This commitment is enforced as Pillar 1.12 (audited Phase 0 pacing pass; mandatory Mode Variety Check field on T2 Chapter Canon header). Hard Line chapters protect thematic sanctuary via Velheim-intrusion combat or astral/dream-world combat, not by combat absence. The game does not have "talking chapters" or "puzzle chapters" — it has chapters with varied modes anchored by a thematic peak.

4.6 Show, never tell

The thesis (§2) and its 11 components (§3) are never declared. They surface through play. The surface track produces direct experience. The investigatable-depth track provides documented depth for those who pursue it. The canonical truth is the air the game breathes, never named. The Grand Sage Ch 76–77 reveal is the game's only direct surfacing, and it is canonical phrasing — never paraphrased, never previewed. Marketing copy, trailer voice-over, Steam page, in-game canonical narration, UI text, and tutorials never declare the thesis. This is absolute. Detailed show-don't-tell discipline, including the layered surfacing routes and the canonical Grand Sage reveal protocol, lives in §18.

§5. THE THIRTEEN DESIGN PILLARS

Mode: structured per pillar \+ prose framing Length target: \~3 pages Source: Blueprint v4.1 §1 Gates 1-10 \+ Pillar 1.12 \+ Pillar 1.13 v4.1 (consolidated canonical here; supersedes any drift in T1\_Enhancement\_Pillars placeholder) Downstream consumers: Validation (HEAVY), Cascade (HEAVY), all design decisions

Twelve foundational pillars were locked April 23, 2026 as Gate Resolutions in the Restructure Blueprint. Ten were originally framed as "Gates" (decisions resolved); two as numbered Pillars (1.12 mode variety, 1.13 v4.1 layered engagement). All twelve function identically as design pillars: foundational commitments that constrain every chapter, every quest, every mechanic, every encounter. They are immutable canon. A thirteenth pillar (Pillar 13 — The Real-Systems Immersive-Sim) was ratified July 13, 2026 via the §5 13th-pillar-candidate mechanism (see the version-log note at the close of this section); it binds identically to the original twelve.

Pillar 1 — Random Encounter Policy: Hybrid (Gate 1\)

Pillar 2 — Architect Combat: Reject Overwrite (Gate 2\)

Pillar 3 — Hard Line Touchability: C-REFINED Canonical Framing (Gate 3\)

Pillar 4 — Occult Mystery Schools: Hybrid (Gate 4\)

Pillar 5 — Cross-Cultural Linking: Player-Facing Mechanic (Gate 5\)

Pillar 6 — Journal Player-Facing (Gate 6\)

Pillar 7 — Language Learning Player-Facing (Gate 7\)

Pillar 8 — Boss Encounter Diversity: Blended, Never Single-Mode (Gate 8\)

Pillar 9 — Trades as Consciousness-Technology (Gate 9\)

Pillar 10 — Regional Combat Identity (Gate 10\)

Pillar 11 (1.12) — No Chapter Coasts on One Mode

Pillar 12 (1.13 v4.1) — Layered Engagement Architecture (Layer-model-v2)

Pillar 13 — The Real-Systems Immersive-Sim (ratified July 13, 2026\)

Drift findings (May 2 audit): T1\_Enhancement\_Pillars placeholder is empty; canonical pillar source is Blueprint v4.1 as captured here. CVD §5 supersedes any prior pillar enumerations in cascade docs. If subsequent cascade work surfaces a 13th pillar candidate, the candidate is patched into CVD §5 with explicit version log entry; no shadow pillar list is permitted to drift in detail docs.

Version log — 13th-pillar ratification (July 13, 2026): Pillar 13 — The Real-Systems Immersive-Sim was ratified by Josh (2026-07-13) and patched into CVD §5 via the 13th-pillar-candidate mechanism above. It elevates the two foundational design laws (vril-altered physics; the rewards-intelligence real-science immersive-sim) to constitutional pillar authority. Provenance: docs/proposals/CVD_PILLAR_REAL_SCIENCE_IMMERSIVE_SIM.md. The §5 heading count is updated from twelve to thirteen; no locked numerology is affected (the pillar count is not a locked number, and the CVD self-authorizes a 13th here).

§6. CULTURAL DEPICTION STANDARD

Mode: prose \+ structured application principles Length target: \~2 pages Source: Memory canon (Josh's standard, non-negotiable) \+ Phase 1 audit cross-references Downstream consumers: Quest Writing, Region Building, Project 2, Cascade

The game depicts cultures with respect, drawing on publicly-available documented information for accurate artistic depiction. Every region's texture — ritual, language, cosmology, foodways, dress, architecture, folklore, mythology — comes from primary source material. Documented record is the substrate. Artistic interpretation is the surface.

This standard is non-negotiable. It is stated here positively because it describes what the game does, not what it doesn't.

6.1 The standard

6.2 Application by chapter tier

Three tiers of cultural depiction care apply:

Maximum depth tier — chapters where cultural depiction load is highest. These chapters draw on the deepest primary-source research and depict their cultures with the strictest discipline:

Elevated care tier — chapters with significant cultural depiction load requiring careful primary-source grounding:

Standard care tier — all other chapters. Documented-source substrate; artistic depiction; community protection; respectful ritual depiction; no protected-property reproduction. The standard applies to every chapter; the maximum and elevated tiers add additional depth.

6.3 Specific hard lines (cross-ref §17)

A subset of cultural-depiction Hard Lines lives in the canonical Hard Lines list (§17). Notable canonical hard lines:

Full canonical Hard Lines list lives in §17 and T0\_Hard\_Lines registry.

6.4 What the standard requires of authoring agents

Quest Writing, Region Building, and Cascade Claude sessions operate under this standard in every quest, every region, every chapter touch. The standard is operational, not aspirational. When in doubt — pause, surface to Josh, do not draft. Cultural authenticity is the game's contract with its players and with the cultures depicted.

§7. THREE PATHS CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Mode: prose Length target: \~2.5 pages Source: GDD\_Core §7 \+ Integrity\_Paths §3, §7, §9 Downstream consumers: Quest Writing (HEAVY), Cascade, Validation Layer 3 anchor: Component 3 (cultural convergence — three paths reflect serving/harming/middle traditions universal across cultures)

The three paths are the architectural spine of every choice in Humanity. Truly Good, Good Enough, Evil. The framework is conceptual at CVD level; mechanical detail (integrity bands, lock-in mechanics, world-state variables, appearance shifts, dialogue option weighting) lives in T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master.

7.1 Accumulated, never selected

There is no character creation step that selects a path. There is no alignment menu. There is no Good/Evil meter the player can intentionally manipulate. Every choice the player makes nudges the protagonist's integrity score. Patterns accumulate across hundreds of hours of play. By Ch 65, the integrity score is what the player has actually authored through their actual choices, and the lock-in produces the path that play earned.

This is not a karma system. It is a *play* system. The player who arrives at the Ch 65 lock-in with a Truly Good integrity score got there because their choices across 65 chapters were Truly Good choices. Same for Good Enough and Evil. The path is the player's cumulative pattern made canonical at lock-in.

7.2 Three paths, three Finale endings

Only the three paths produce distinct Finale endings:

Intermediate integrity bands (between pure Truly Good and middle, or between middle and pure Evil) produce textural variation within the closest path's Finale, not distinct endings. The mechanical detail of band-to-Finale routing lives in Integrity\_Paths.

7.3 Shared Ch 76-77 Grand Sage reveal

All three paths share the canonical Ch 76-77 Grand Sage reveal. The reveal phrasing is locked. Identity is canonical regardless of player path. What differs is what the reveal lands as for the player — Truly Good experiences it as confirmation of pattern; Good Enough experiences it as recontextualization; Evil experiences it as confrontation. The reveal does not pre-spoil identity at any earlier point on any path. Pre-Ch 76 hint of Grand Sage identity \= Hard Line violation (canonical Hard Line; cross-ref §17).

7.4 Path texture: how each path reads

Truly Good — protagonist whose integrity accumulated through serving choices, alliance with serving-tradition practitioners, restraint with vril-power, sacrifice in defense of community, journal entries warm and emotionally textured, appearance shifts toward radiance, world responds with respect and openness, NPC reactions warm, quest options for restoration and healing unlock.

Good Enough — protagonist whose integrity accumulated through pragmatic choices balanced between serving and harming, journal entries middle-textured, appearance shifts neutral, world responds with respect tempered by caution, NPC reactions measured, quest options pragmatic.

Evil — protagonist whose integrity accumulated through harming choices, alliance with harming-tradition practitioners (or subverted serving practitioners), reckless or predatory vril use, betrayal of community, journal entries sparse fragmented and tonally cold, appearance shifts toward visible corruption, world responds with fear and resistance, NPC reactions wary or hostile, quest options for domination unlock.

Important: Evil is never written as villainy performance. Evil characters do not cackle, monologue, or signal villainy through theatrical excess. Evil is the path of a protagonist whose accumulated choices have been harming choices — internally coherent to the protagonist, externally legible as harm. The depth of an Evil protagonist's tragedy (or refusal of tragedy — the unrepentant Evil ending exists) comes from the player's recognition that their own play produced this outcome. Evil-as-villainy-performance \= Hard Line violation (canonical Hard Line; cross-ref §17).

7.5 The path lock-in at Ch 65

Ch 65 is the structural lock-in chapter. Integrity score freezes for endgame branching. Choices Ch 66-77 modulate texture and intermediate-band positioning but do not change the locked path. This is operationally critical: it allows Ch 66-77 to deliver path-canonical content (the Ch 66-74 Realm Road otherworlds and the Ch 75-77 fairy-realm fold, including the Velheim final confrontation) without requiring branch-tree authoring for every possible integrity outcome through those chapters. Three Finales, not infinite Finales.

7.6 Why three paths and not two, or five, or branching

Two paths (Good / Evil) is binary and produces caricature. Five or more paths fragments authoring resources unsustainably across a 30-million-word base game and produces shallow per-path content. Three paths captures the documented serving / harming / middle tradition that recurs across cultures (canonical Layer 3 Component 3 anchor) and gives each path the authoring depth to read as a real protagonist arc rather than a route. Three is the architectural minimum that produces real difference; three is the maximum that 30 million words can author with depth across each path.

§8. CHARACTER CREATION SYSTEM

Mode: prose \+ structured per selection Length target: \~1.5 pages Source: GDD\_Core §3 \+ Pillar 7 (Three Paths accumulated) Downstream consumers: Quest Writing, UE5 (rendering), Cascade Ch 1, AIVA (theme parameters) Layer 3 anchor: Component 1 (origin — protagonist's elf identity connects to pre-deluvian arc)

The protagonist is an elf, returning to Earth on the eve of the 5,000-year reckoning. There is no class system. No alignment menu. No skill-tree pre-selection. Character creation is brief, deliberate, and surfaces four parameters that anchor downstream consequence across the 77-chapter arc. Everything else — abilities, integrity, biography, voice — accumulates through play.

8.1 The four Ch 1 selections

At the opening of Ch 1 the player makes four selections. Each selection produces canonical downstream consequences without locking the protagonist into a narrative branch.

SelectionPlayer choiceCanonical downstream consequence
Best friendgender of protagonist's childhood best friendsets the gender of the healer's child (the journal author / canonical companion arc) — best friend in childhood becomes the healer's child the protagonist returns to
Familiar speciesspecies selected for the protagonist's bonded Child Familiarlocks the species type for the slot-1 familiar; influences early-arc abilities and Trade 8 (familiar bond) progression
Appearancephysical features (face, build, hair, base skin tone)stored as base appearance state; modulated downstream by integrity, age stage, and path (per §9)
Nameprotagonist namepersistent, surfaces in journal entries, dialogue addressing, NPC reactions

These four selections constitute the entire character creation surface. No race selection (protagonist is canonically elf). No class selection (capabilities accumulate through play). No alignment selection (path is accumulated per §7).

8.2 What is NOT selected at character creation

8.3 Why brief character creation

Long character creation surfaces (alignment sliders, deep customization sliders, complex stat distributions) commit the player to a protagonist they have not yet met. Humanity's protagonist arc unfolds over 30 million words across 77 chapters. The protagonist the player meets at Ch 1 is not the protagonist who arrives at Ch 77\. Allowing four anchor selections — best friend, familiar species, appearance, name — gives the player ownership of the starting state without committing them to a path they have not yet earned.

The four selections also serve thesis: appearance and name are surface (L1). Best friend connects to journal voice (L1.5 ambient and L3 connective — the healer's child as journal author). Familiar species connects to Trade 8 and ability tree (L1 systems-play routing). The character creation surface is itself a layered artifact.

Detail mechanics: UE5 character rendering pipeline (T1\_UI\_UX\_Spec / T1\_Audio\_Spec when populated). Familiar species slot mechanics → T1\_Ability\_Tree. Path lock-in mechanics → T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master.

§9. BIOGRAPHY PARAMETERS FRAMEWORK

Mode: structured \+ prose Length target: \~2 pages Source: GDD\_Core §4 \+ Integrity\_Paths §2, §7 Downstream consumers: UE5 (rendering, appearance shifts), Quest Writing (dialogue voice generation), AIVA (musical state cues), Validation Layer 3 anchor: Component 7 (metaphysical real — appearance shifts visualize integrity-substrate state)

The protagonist carries a structured biography that updates through play and feeds every downstream system. Biography parameters are framework-level here; specific bands, thresholds, and update rules live in T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master.

9.1 The five core parameters

ParameterTypeRange / valuesUpdated by
Integrity scoresigned scalar\-100 to \+100every choice with integrity weight
Appearance scorescalarcorresponds to integrity, modulated separatelyintegrity drift \+ age stage transitions \+ path lock-in
Relationship historyper-NPC ledgerper-relationship status (affinity, history, current state)per-encounter outcome with major NPCs
Age stageenumChildhood / Adolescence / Adulthoodcanonical chapter anchors (chapter-driven, not playtime-driven)
Path lock-in stateenumunlocked / locked-Truly Good / locked-Good Enough / locked-EvilCh 65 lock-in event

9.2 Integrity score (the core scalar)

Integrity is the central parameter. Signed \-100 to \+100. Five bands frame the score range; specific band thresholds are defined in T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master (canonical authority for bands). The framework concept:

Intermediate bands provide texture (NPC reaction tone, dialogue option weighting, journal voice modulation, world state) without producing distinct Finale endings. Three Finales emerge from the Ch 65 lock-in: Truly Good, Good Enough, Evil (cross-ref §7). Detail mechanics → Integrity\_Paths.

9.3 Appearance score

Appearance modulates separately from integrity but tracks correlated. It captures the visible-on-character substrate state — radiance for Truly Good drift, neutrality for Good Enough middle, visible corruption for Evil drift. UE5 rendering consumes appearance score along with age stage and path lock-in to select appearance variant per scene.

The protagonist's appearance is canonically responsive to play. A player whose choices have been Truly Good throughout sees the protagonist visibly carry that — posture, light response, eye and hand presentation. Evil choices manifest visibly. The player reads their own play in the protagonist's body. This is L1 systems-play routing made literal.

Critical: appearance shifts are not cosmetic and not optional. They are canonical. Pillar 12 (layered engagement) operates here — L1 systems-play players see the visible change without engaging the why; L3 rabbit-hole players read journal entries documenting the substrate behind the visible shift.

9.4 Relationship history

The protagonist accumulates relationship history with major NPCs across the arc. Per-NPC ledger fields:

The healer's child (best friend selected in Ch 1\) is the highest-priority relationship ledger; the journal voice depends on the relationship state at journal-update time.

9.5 Age stage

Three age stages: Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood. Stage is chapter-anchored (not playtime-driven) per canonical chapter-anchored transitions. Age stage modulates appearance, voice, ability tree access, and dialogue.

Note: the protagonist is canonically elf. Elven life cycles operate over centuries. However, due to depleted vril on human earth, the protagonist ages like a human through Childhood and Adolescence; once vril is remastered in adulthood, elven long-life is regained. Childhood / Adolescence / Adulthood are elven stages, not human stages. Specific chapter-anchored transitions live in canonical T2 ChapterDesign briefs and Integrity\_Paths §7 (appearance pipeline).

9.6 Path lock-in state

Pre-Ch 65: integrity-score-driven, fully fluid, every choice continues to nudge integrity. Ch 65: lock-in event. Integrity score freezes for endgame branching. Post-Ch 65 (Ch 66-77): integrity score is locked; choices Ch 66-77 modulate texture and intermediate-band positioning but do not change the locked path.

The lock-in is a canonical chapter event, not a player-initiated commitment. The player who arrives at Ch 65 with their accumulated integrity score earns the path that play produced.

§10. PROTAGONIST VOICE SYSTEM (6-OPTION DIALOGUE)

Mode: prose \+ structured framework Length target: \~2 pages Source: GDD\_Core §5 \+ Integrity\_Paths §6 Downstream consumers: Quest Writing (HEAVY — every dialogue), AIVA (voice musical themes), UE5 (voice variant selection logic), Validation Layer 3 anchor: Component 7 (metaphysical real — voice as substrate-state expression)

Every dialogue moment in Humanity surfaces six options. The voice system is the dialogue authoring contract for the entire 30-million-word base game.

10.1 The six-option framework

At every dialogue choice point, the player sees:

OptionSourceIntegrity weight
Biography Option 1drawn from current biography parameter statecarries texture, no integrity shift
Biography Option 2drawn from current biography parameter statecarries texture, no integrity shift
Biography Option 3drawn from current biography parameter statecarries texture, no integrity shift
Biography Option 4drawn from current biography parameter statecarries texture, no integrity shift
Good Optionthe canonically Truly Good response in this momentcarries positive integrity shift
Evil Optionthe canonically Evil response in this momentcarries negative integrity shift

Six options every time. Always all six. Never fewer. Never procedurally generated.

10.2 Spoken / action / combination

Each option presents as one of three forms:

The form is part of the option's authored canon. Some Truly Good responses are silent (a touch, a gesture, a refusal-to-speak that carries weight). Some Evil responses are pure action (a strike, a betrayal, a withdrawal). The form serves the response; the response serves the protagonist's substrate state.

10.3 Biography options carry texture, not integrity weight

The four biography options reflect the protagonist's current biography state — integrity score, appearance score, relationship history with the present NPC, age stage, path lock-in state, recent quest events. They do not shift integrity when chosen. They surface the protagonist's voice variant across the substrate state.

A Truly Good Adolescent protagonist with high affinity to the present NPC will see four biography options that read warm, curious, openhearted, with adolescent informality. A locked-Evil Adult protagonist with low affinity to the present NPC will see four biography options that read calculating, cold, weighted with accumulated harm, with adult restraint. Same dialogue moment, same NPC, same scene context — entirely different biography options because biography state is different.

The biography options are the player's window into the protagonist they have authored.

10.4 Good and Evil options carry weight

The Good and Evil options are the canonical ethical anchor for each dialogue moment. Choosing Good carries positive integrity shift; choosing Evil carries negative. The shift magnitude is dialogue-context-dependent (not all Good options are equal weight; not all Evil options are equal weight). Specific shift mechanics → Integrity\_Paths §6.

The Good and Evil options are written per dialogue moment to reflect what Truly Good and Evil mean in *this specific situation*. There is no template Good response. There is no template Evil response. Each is authored.

10.5 All six fully written and voiced — no procedural generation

Every option is fully authored. Every option is fully voiced. There is no procedural dialogue generation. There is no template-fill option. The 30-million-word base game word count includes the six-option dialogue system at full authored depth across every dialogue moment.

Voice acting:

Either era: every dialogue line exists in voiced form for every substrate state combination relevant to that line's authored context.

10.6 Voice generation parameters (substrate state inputs)

The voice variant selection at runtime depends on:

Detail (mapping substrate state → voice variant selection) → Integrity\_Paths §6 \+ UE5 runtime spec.

10.7 The dialogue author's contract

For every authored dialogue moment in the game, the writer delivers:

This is the Quest Writing contract for the 30-million-word base game. Authoring discipline is in §15 (Voice, Tone, & Flag System).

§11. QUEST STRUCTURE VISION (22-BUCKET FRAMEWORK)

Mode: prose \+ structured per layer Length target: \~2 pages Source: GDD\_Systems §3 Downstream consumers: Quest Writing (HEAVY), Cascade, T0\_Questline\_Index, T5 Questlines

The 22-bucket framework is the structural numerology of Humanity's quest architecture. The number 22 recurs canonically: 22 narrative threads (T1\_Threads\_22), 22 familiar slots (T0\_Familiar\_Registry), 22 paths on the Tree of Life (canonical anchor Ch 18 Levantine Kabbalistic), 22 quest buckets. The recurrence is canonical, not coincidental.

11.1 Twenty-two quest buckets

Quest content distributes across 22 buckets:

Each Trade and SQ bucket carries 1M+ words at full canonical depth. Main Story spine is the remaining word count balance against the 30M+ total. The math: 10 Trades × 1M \+ 12 SQs × 1M \+ Main Story spine ≈ 30M+ canonical base.

11.2 Three narrative layers per quest

Every quest in every bucket operates on three layers:

A quest that scores only on the event layer is a fail. A quest that scores only on the context layer is a fail. A quest that scores only on the biography resonance layer is a fail. All three layers required.

11.3 Trade home-base rule (1 ancient \+ 1 modern, never two-in-period)

Each of the ten trades has exactly one ancient-era home base chapter and exactly one modern-era home base chapter (or two paired home bases on the ancient side, where canonically locked). Never two home bases in the same era. The home-base rule structures Trade Questline content across the arc — the Trade Questline opens at the ancient home base, develops cross-chapter, and revisits/transforms at the modern home base.

The ten canonical trades:

Per-trade home-base assignments are owned by T1\_Trades\_Master canonical authority. CVD does not duplicate the assignment table; consult T1\_Trades\_Master for the current canonical home-base map, including the Trade 9 Inscription paradox-completion rule (one of two ancient home bases is canonically a culture without a writing system).

11.4 Infinite SQ generation principle (Tier C MMO)

The 12 canonical SQ buckets exhaust Tier A Solo Base canonical content. Beyond the canonical 12, Tier C MMO supports infinite SQ generation through documented-cultural-substrate templates: any documented folklore, ritual, mythology, or historical anomaly per region can spawn an SQ instance. The 12 canonical SQs anchor the substrate; Tier C MMO infinite SQ generation extends the substrate procedurally with documented-source provenance per generated quest.

Detail (infinite SQ generation rules, MMO regional substrate templates) → T1\_Tier\_C\_MMO\_Spec.

11.5 Quest authoring discipline

Quest Writing Claude operates under §15 voice/tone/flag discipline \+ §16 pacing discipline \+ §17 Hard Lines \+ §6 cultural depiction standard. Per-bucket detail (specific SQ canonical structures, Trade-by-Trade canonical structures, Main Story chapter-by-chapter beats) → T5 detailed questline docs.

§12. COMBAT VARIETY & MASTERY VISION

Mode: prose Length target: \~2 pages Source: GDD\_Systems §8 (Mastery) \+ §9 (Combat Variety) Downstream consumers: Quest Writing, Validation, T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec, T0\_Boss\_Encounter\_Registry Layer 3 anchor: Component 7 (metaphysical real — vril mechanics in combat express substrate)

Combat in Humanity is varied, blended, and mastery-progressed. Three commitments structure the combat vision: unified mastery progression across all developable capabilities, mode variety per chapter (Pillar 11 / 1.12), and environmental boss mechanics that route through perception and vril management as combat-equivalent resolution.

12.1 Unified mastery progression — Twelve tiers, Hermetic tradition

Every developable capability in the game progresses on the same twelve-tier structure. Combat skills, trade skills, ability tree branches, weapon mastery, familiar bond, language fluency, and inscription decoding all share the framework. The unification is canonical design: a player whose Trade 4 Herbalism reaches Adeptus Minor feels the same milestone-shape as a player whose combat with a specific weapon class reaches Adeptus Minor — same ceremony, same substrate-state shift, same canonical Pillar 12 layered recognition.

Tier names draw from documented Western mystery tradition (Hermetic / Golden Dawn lineage; Ch 27 Hermetic canonical anchor; Crowley primary source per Pillar 4). The naming is documented, cross-cultural in scholarly provenance, and reads as "becoming a practitioner of a tradition" rather than "leveling up a stat." L1.5 ambient players recognize the Golden Dawn system. L1 systems-play players experience clean progression milestones.

The twelve LEVELS, the ten grade names as BANDS over them, their numerical scales, and their

canonical quest gates (the band mapping ratified by Josh, 2026-07-28 sixteenth sitting —

docs/proposals/GRADE_BAND_MAPPING_2026-07-28.md is the ratification record):

FIRST ORDER — Outer Tiers (LEVELS 1-5; development; numerical 1-99):

SECOND ORDER — Inner Tiers (LEVELS 6-10; mastery; numerical 100-199):

THIRD ORDER — Prestige Tiers (LEVELS 11-12; numerical 200+; MMO endgame for Magus):

The twelve-tier framework applies uniformly across every developable capability. Combat reaches Magister Templi the same way Trade 4 Herbalism reaches Magister Templi — Tier A Main Story completion \+ prestige questline specific to that capability. Magus tier in any capability requires Tier C MMO engagement.

Two indices — ten GRADES over twelve LEVELS (the ratified band mapping; supersedes the earlier grades-over-gates reading): the framework is twelve real LEVELS 1-12 (Josh ruling, 2026-07-27 tenth sitting) carrying TEN named GRADES as BANDS over them (Josh ratification, 2026-07-28 sixteenth sitting; docs/proposals/GRADE_BAND_MAPPING_2026-07-28.md is the record). This is the reading that resolves the "twelve-tier framework names only ten tiers" mismatch — twelve levels, ten grade-bands:

Detail (specific tier thresholds per capability, specific quest-gate content per tier per capability, specific Inner-Order initiation ceremony events per trade) → T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec, 1\_Trades\_Master, T1\_Ability\_Tree.

12.2 Mode variety per chapter (Pillar 11 / 1.12)

No chapter coasts on one combat mode. Every chapter combines:

Two consecutive chapters never share dominant combat type. Every five-chapter window contains three or more distinct combat-mode dominant chapters. Audited in Phase 0 pacing pass.

Combat mode variety is not "having multiple combat systems." It is the discipline of authoring chapters such that each surfaces different combat textures from the unified system. The system does not change per chapter. The chapter's *mode emphasis* changes per chapter.

12.3 Environmental boss mechanic — perception, vril management, restraint

Some bosses are not fightable through pure combat. The protagonist cannot simply DPS-check certain environmental boss encounters. Resolution routes through:

Environmental bosses extend the unified combat system into encounters that require the protagonist (and the player) to engage substrate-state recognition over direct violence. They are not "non-combat puzzles." They are combat encounters whose victory condition is not measured in damage.

Detail (specific environmental boss mechanic spec, perception system, vril-management interface) → T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec.

12.4 Boss encounter blended-mode requirement (Pillar 8\)

Per Pillar 8, every boss in the game blends combat \+ weapons \+ abilities \+ puzzles \+ character engagement. No boss \= pure DPS check. Ch 17 Entu Priestess (three phases blending surface combat, moral descent, philosophical confrontation) is the template. Audited per boss in T0\_Boss\_Encounter\_Registry.

12.5 Regional combat identity (Pillar 10\)

Per Pillar 10, combat in different regions kinesthetically differs. Stance systems per region; environment hazards per region; weapon-of-origin bonuses; movement modifiers (jungle vs desert vs steppe vs ice); ability interaction changes per region. Detail → T1\_Combat\_System\_Spec \+ Regional Combat Modifier table.

§13. WORLD BOSS & MMO LAYER VISION

Mode: prose Length target: \~1.5 pages Source: GDD\_Systems §5 (World Boss) \+ §6 (MMO Layer) Downstream consumers: T1\_Tier\_C\_MMO\_Spec, AIVA (boss themes), Validation Layer 3 anchor: Component 3 (cultural convergence — collective action as substrate visibility); Component 7 (metaphysical real — server-collective vril shifts as substrate response)

The MMO layer (Tier C) extends Humanity beyond the canonical 77-chapter solo base. It is optional — Tier A Solo Base is complete in itself. Tier C is the world that exists outside the canonical narrative, populated by documented cultures, available for collective player action that shapes regional substrate.

13.1 World bosses as collective-action endpoints

World bosses are 100-player encounters at canonical Tier C spawn locations. They are not Tier A Solo Base content. A solo player completing the base game never encounters a world boss as required content. World bosses are the endpoint of guild-scale collective action: specific boss encounters that require coordinated 100-player engagement, with mechanics that scale to that engagement size.

13.2 Collective action shapes regional substrate

Tier C MMO operates on a regional-substrate-influence model. Guild integrity (aggregate of guild member integrity scores) shapes:

Solo Tier A players experience canonical-state regional substrate. Tier C MMO players experience guild-influenced regional substrate.

13.3 Scale-of-impact framework

Three impact scales operate in Tier C:

The scale-of-impact is itself an L3 substrate routing: the scale at which collective action shifts substrate is an in-game canonical truth. Guild integrity is metaphysical-real, not just statistical-aggregate.

13.4 Tier B DLC interaction with Tier C

Story-significant regions reserved as Tier B DLC are off-limits to Tier C MMO player-shaping. The reserved-region roster is identified and documented in T1\_Tier\_B\_DLC\_Catalog at its post-book-processing populate — the catalog is a stub until then, and no region is yet reserved. These regions retain canonical-state substrate regardless of nearby Tier C MMO guild influence. Tier B DLC content is authored at Tier A canonical discipline. [Wording aligned to actual state — Josh ruled the rewrite 2026-07-27; no policy change.]

13.5 What Tier C MMO does not change

Detail (server architecture, guild integrity calculation, scale-of-impact thresholds, Tier C SQ infinite generation rules) → T1\_Tier\_C\_MMO\_Spec.

§14. TRADES AS CONSCIOUSNESS-TECHNOLOGY

Mode: prose Length: \~1.5 pages Source: Pillar 9 plus the ten canonical trade names confirmed in cascade Ch 02-15 Downstream consumers: Quest Writing, T1\_Trades\_Master, T0\_Questline\_Index Trade buckets Layer 3 anchor: Component 3 (cultural convergence — trades as cross-culturally-attested consciousness practices); Component 7 (metaphysical real — trade mastery unlocks substrate perception)

Per Pillar 9, the ten trades in Humanity are reframed at canonical level. Each trade is not a gathering or crafting system. Each trade is a consciousness-technology — a discipline through which the practitioner accesses substrate perception unavailable to non-practitioners. Trade masters teach worldview alongside skill. Trade mastery progression unlocks philosophical depth per culture. Per Pillar 13 (the Real-Systems Immersive-Sim), the trades also carry the real sciences: Alchemy is chemistry (compound transmutation feeding potions and poisons, Herbalism-fed), Engineering is physics and statics (form and mechanism feeding bombs, devices, and structural collapse), and Herbalism and Medicine are biology; vril amplifies all three. A trade craft resolves through the real substrate, never through arbitrary rules.

14.1 The reframing operates at the substrate layer, not the surface

Player-facing vocabulary stays standard. Mining is Mining. Blacksmithing is Blacksmithing. Herbalism is Herbalism. Crafting menus, NPC dialogue, quest descriptions, and UI elements use the canonical English trade names players expect from an ARPG. Players still go to the smith to craft a weapon. They still gather herbs. They still mine ore.

The reframing operates at the substrate layer (L1.5 and L3). Each trade carries a canonical consciousness-technology truth that mastery progressively reveals. Surface-track players (L1\) experience the trade as standard ARPG mechanic. Depth-track players (L1.5 ambient and L3 connective\) encounter the worldview that practitioner traditions across cultures attach to the trade. Canonical-truth layer (L3\) operates the metaphysical reality directly — high-tier practitioners (Adeptus Major and above per §12.1) access substrate perception unavailable to non-practitioners.

This is the meaning of Pillar 9\. The trade master teaches the worldview alongside the operational skill. Mastery progression unlocks philosophical depth per culture. The player who reaches Magister Templi tier in any trade reads that trade as practitioners across cultures have read it. The player who reaches Magus tier (Tier C MMO endgame) operates within the substrate as the traditions describe — the trade is not a skill but a lineage.

14.2 The ten canonical trades

The ten canonical trade names players see in-game:

14.3 Pillar 9 substrate-concept reframings

All ten trades carry explicit canonical substrate-concept reframings per Pillar 9\. The substrate concepts are what mastery progressively reveals at L1.5 and L3 — not what the player calls the trade in-game. Operational tier mechanics, per-tier quest gates, and per-trade home-base assignments are owned by T1\_Trades\_Master.

14.4 Each trade master teaches worldview plus skill

Trade master NPCs across the arc are not skill-teachers in isolation. Each trade master teaches the worldview the trade encodes alongside the operational skill. A player taking Trade 4 Herbalism instruction at Ch 07 South India learns the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita Ayurvedic frameworks. The same player at Ch 50 Amazon learns the Amazonian shamanic-medicinal frameworks. The same trade across home bases surfaces different worldview substrate.

This is the trade as consciousness-technology. The skill is the operational surface; the worldview is the substrate. Mastery progression unlocks deeper worldview access tier by tier per the twelve-tier framework in §12.1.

14.5 Mastery progression unlocks philosophical depth per culture

Outer Order tiers (Neophyte through Philosophus, numerical 1 through 99\) provide operational skill with growing worldview-framework awareness. Inner Order tiers (Adeptus Minor through Adeptus Exemptus, numerical 100 through 199\) introduce substrate perception — the trade master's worldview as operational truth, not just lore. Third Order tiers (Magister Templi and Magus, numerical 200 and above) unlock canonical-truth-layer operational depth — substrate operates as the traditions describe.

A Magister Templi of Trade 9 Inscription reads inscriptions as substrate-inscription; reality-shaping mechanics become available, including the Ch 69 Duat 42 Negative Confessions canonical recitation event. A Magus of Trade 9 (Tier C MMO endgame) operates within the inscription tradition's living lineage.

Detail on specific tier unlocks per trade, per-culture worldview content, and per-tier ceremony content lives in T1\_Trades\_Master and T1\_Ability\_Tree.

14.6 Trades and L1 systems-play routing

Trades are the most direct L1 systems-play routing in the game. A player who takes any trade encounters the metaphysical-as-real through the trade's operational substrate. Surface-track players who develop trades for mechanical advantage experience the substrate without needing to engage the why. Depth-track players engage the worldview substrate behind each trade's mechanics. Canonical-truth players (post-Adeptus Minor) operate within the substrate directly.

§15. VOICE AND TONE DISCIPLINE

Mode: prose plus a short structured rule set Length: \~2 pages Source: Pillar 9 (Trades as Consciousness-Technology), Pillar 12 (Layered Engagement), §10 (Protagonist Voice System), §6 (Cultural Depiction Standard), and the cumulative principles in Chunk A Downstream consumers: Quest Writing (heavy use, every quest), Cascade authoring, Validation, Project 2 book processing Layer 3 anchor: Component 7 (metaphysical real — voice as substrate-state expression)

Voice and tone are the writing contract for the 30-million-word base game. Voice is how the protagonist's substrate state surfaces in language. Tone is how the game's cultural texture is rendered. Both are operational, both are non-negotiable, and both follow from the foundational thesis (§2) and the Pillar architecture (§5).

15.1 Voice — close-third protagonist, biography-state-aware

The narrative voice is close-third throughout. The protagonist is the lens. The reader is inside the protagonist's perception, not above it. This is not omniscient narration. It is not first-person confessional. It is close-third — the camera sits over the protagonist's shoulder, and the language carries the protagonist's substrate state in every sentence.

Voice modulates with biography parameter state per §9:

Age stage (Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood per §9.5) modulates voice register independently of integrity. Childhood voice carries unfiltered attention. Adolescent voice carries the friction of competing interpretations. Adult voice carries integrated weight. Elven life cycles operate over centuries and the age stage transitions are canonical chapter events, not playtime-driven.

Path lock-in state post-Ch 65 stabilizes voice into the locked register. Pre-Ch 65, voice is fluid as integrity is fluid. Post-Ch 65, the voice has settled into the voice that play earned.

Voice variant generation parameters (the substrate state inputs that select line variants at runtime per §10.6) are owned by T1\_Integrity\_Paths\_Worldstates\_Master. CVD captures the voice principle here. Detail mechanics live in Integrity\_Paths.

15.2 Tone — respectful, primary-source-grounded, never Hollywood

Tone is how the game's cultural texture is rendered. The standard:

15.3 Voice and tone in dialogue (cross-reference to §10)

Every dialogue moment surfaces six options per §10. The voice principle and tone principle apply to every option:

The Quest Writing contract for every dialogue moment delivers six fully authored options at the voice register matched to all current substrate state inputs.

15.4 What §15 deprecates

The cascade-era flag system using bracketed tags such as the verification flag, the cultural consultation flag, and the bridge flag is deprecated as of CVD lock. Game canon is canon. Where canon is settled, write canon. Where canon is unsettled, surface to author for resolution before drafting. The flag-tag mechanism does not survive into the post-restructure authoring discipline. CVD §15 is the canonical authoring discipline going forward.

§16. PACING DISCIPLINE

Mode: prose plus a short structured rule set Length: \~1.5 pages Source: Pillar 11 (Mode Variety), §4.4 (Mountain-Range Pacing), §4.5 (Mode Variety per Chapter), and the cumulative pacing principle across Chunk A Downstream consumers: Quest Writing, Cascade, Validation, Range Review audits Layer 3 anchor: implicit — pacing serves surface-play satisfaction across the 30-million-word arc, which serves every layer's continuous availability

16.1 The mountain-range principle

The pacing topography across 77 chapters is a mountain range. Peaks are separated by valleys. The peaks are not all the same height. The valleys are not all the same depth. The topography is varied across the full arc, and the variation is canonical.

Every chapter has a peak. The peak is the chapter's structural anchor — a boss encounter, a transformation moment, a sanctuary revelation, a betrayal, a recognition, a cultural threshold crossing. The peak is what the chapter's narrative gravity points toward.

Every chapter has a valley. The valley is exploration, side activity, character development, breath. Valleys are not flat content. Valleys are the structural counterweight that makes the peaks legible as peaks.

The peak-and-valley structure within a chapter scales to the chapter's length. Long chapters carry multiple peak-and-valley sequences. Short chapters carry one peak with surrounding valley. The chapter never coasts on one mode (Pillar 11 cross-reference).

Across the 77 chapters, the topography is designed. Three consecutive intensity-peaks are not permitted. Three consecutive valleys are not permitted. Range Review audits at each ten-chapter window verify the topography across the window.

16.2 Mode variety per chapter

Per Pillar 11, no chapter coasts on one mode. Every chapter combines combat, puzzle, learning, character, and transformation beats proportional to chapter length. Long chapters earn their runtime through variety, not repetition. The Mode Variety Check is a mandatory T2 Chapter Canon header field; the audit happens during Range Review.

The mode-variety discipline applies to Hard Line chapters (Ch 38 Azores, Ch 57 Australia, Ch 69 the Duat) per Pillar 3 canonical framing. Hard Line chapters protect cultural sanctuary through Velheim intrusion combat or astral and dream-world combat — never through combat absence. Combat absence is creatively fatal to chapter engagement.

Two consecutive chapters never share dominant combat type. Every five-chapter window contains three or more distinct combat-mode dominant chapters. Audited in Phase 0 pacing pass per cascade work and re-audited at every Range Review.

16.3 Anti-staleness mechanics

Across the 30-million-word arc, anti-staleness operates through structural mechanics that maintain engagement variety:

16.4 Relief chapters as structural valleys

Three chapters across the 77-chapter arc are canonical relief chapters. They are structural valleys that frame surrounding peaks. They are not flat content; they are deliberate pacing architecture.

Per-chapter pacing implementations and specific peak-and-valley structures live in T2 Chapter Design briefs. CVD §16 captures the principle.

16.5 The endgame topography (Ch 66-77)

The final twelve chapters carry a designed topography ratified as part of the Realm Road and endgame-fold re-architecture (Josh, July 12, 2026; docs/proposals/AAA_REARCHITECTURE_PROPOSAL.md). It is captured here as principle; per-node peak-and-valley assignment lives in the T2 Chapter Design briefs and is audited at Range Review.

Ch 66-74 are the Realm Road — nine mythological otherworlds of the cultures the arc crossed, each one explored and then fought, each realm carrying one distinct crossing-function and a distinct ultimate boss that pays off a mythology the player lived on the way out. Within the Realm Road every node keeps the chapter-level explore-then-fight peak-and-valley of §16.1: the otherworld is entered and traversed as valley, then its guardian is faced as peak. The no-three-consecutive-peaks intensity discipline and the mode-variety discipline govern the run node-by-node exactly as across the rest of the arc — the distinct crossing-function and distinct boss-mode per realm are the substrate that keeps mode variety intact so no chapter coasts. The Realm Road is entirely upstream of the endgame thesis release and carries no antagonist-pattern surfacing.

Ch 75-77 are the fairy-realm fold, and their three-node shape is canonical: two consecutive peaks, then the required exhale.

Two consecutive peaks resolving into one exhale satisfies the no-three-consecutive-peaks hard line at the arc's close. The Epilogue is unchanged. This topography does not alter the reveal ladder: the Ch 38 mid-reveal, the Ch 65 lock-in, and the single Ch 76-77 thesis release are untouched.

§17. HARD LINES

Mode: prose introduction plus structured rule sets per domain Length: \~3 pages Source: aggregated from every preceding CVD section plus the canonical hard lines locked in cascade work Downstream consumers: every authoring agent — Quest Writing, Cascade, Validation, Project 2 book processing, region pages, NPC pages, antagonist work Layer 3 anchor: implicit — the hard lines protect the canonical substrate from drift

The hard lines are canonical rules that admit no exception. They are not relaxed for narrative convenience. They are not softened for production schedule. They supersede any conflicting authoring impulse. Where two canon instructions appear to conflict, the hard line wins. The list below aggregates hard lines from across the CVD plus locked-canon facts confirmed in cascade work. This section is the canonical reference any authoring agent consults when verifying whether a draft choice is allowed.

17.1 Cultural depiction — the Care Doctrine

Anchored in §6 and §2. The standard is represent-with-care: authentic, historically-honest representation of every living culture across all engagement layers and all twelve pillars, grounded in primary-source material and shown as the cultures themselves understand them. Care means weight and authenticity. Care never means omission, reverence-gloss, or rated-G sanitization, and it never means lecturing the player — the surface stays fun-first, action-forward, and explorable. Routing around valuable, grounded, playable cultural material to make a chapter safe is a failure of this standard. This care standard governs living peoples, living sacred traditions, and real and revered people; a myth's own monsters and the rest of the adventure material carry full fantasy license per §17.16.

Calibration and ruling authority — RULED (Josh, 2026-07-22). The care doctrine was developed jointly, with the loop consistently erring conservative and Josh consistently pulling it bolder; this paragraph settles the calibration so it stops recurring. The hard-line floor is the only absolute: no genocide or slaughter of an entire living culture as an encouraged or enabled goal, no real-world targeted hate or atrocity-glorification against a real living people, no sexual violence, no child harm, and the §17 hard lines. That floor is the genuinely-banned-content bar, not conservatism, and it never loosens. Every care judgement ABOVE that floor is ruled by the build loop rather than escalated: true history is never hidden or scrubbed, because immersive teaching of culture, geography, and history through action-first play is the point of the work; where material reads insensitive the instrument is renaming or reframing it, never removing it; and care-tier inflation is itself a defect, because the timid option in a rated-M action-adventure fantasy RPG is usually the wrong one. Before any such ruling the loop runs the standing decision briefing plus a devil's-advocate pass calibrated specifically against over-conservatism, so both failure directions are checked — defanging as rigorously as under-protection. Josh is the backstop: he plays the build and flags anything genuinely too insensitive or brutal, and care is added then, from a real playthrough. A judgement here is reversible, so erring toward omission is the more costly error rather than the safer one.

Three standing care-scope rules follow from that calibration and are ruled at contract tier in docs/proposals/DEEP_BOOK_PROCESSING_CONTRACT.md §2.6b, restated here because they govern player-facing surfaces. First, pseudohistory versus history is the line, not subject matter: fabricated occult or racial pseudohistory is authorial-only because it is false and may never surface as truth, while the documented historical record of an atrocity is true history and is ordinary substrate, admitted with elevated care, the affected people's own agency shown and not only their victimhood, and antagonism routed through the institution rather than the community. No living tradition is uniquely excluded, and a protective exclusion applied to one tradition and no other is care-tier inflation and a defect. The adjacency hard-hold here is narrow and is not a scrub: the documented history that religion, power, and money have been instruments of control is kept — it is the game's own premise, and banking-dynasty and central-banking history is legitimate substrate. What the line forbids is the false inversion — the antagonist is the composite fictional House of Velheim, never a real living Jewish people, community, or family, and real Holocaust-victim material (restitution owed to victims, assets looted from them, the persecution they suffered) is told as true history with the victims' own agency shown, never turned into fuel that recasts Jews or their victimhood as the banking-conspiracy engine. That inversion is pseudohistory, not history — the antisemitic canard the pseudohistory-versus-history rule already excludes — while the true history of money and power is represented, not avoided. Second, living-practitioner substrate carries at full specificity — published technique, materials, real species and plant names, constraints and craft grammar are never thinned, and real public place names always ship; what is withheld is narrow and personal, a living private individual's name, a village-plus-biography that pins one person, or a specific living family's bereavement staged as a game event, and the instrument for such a beat is to re-originate it with a different person while keeping the motif at full weight. Third, on contemporary harm: real named victims of violence within living memory never reach a player-facing surface and de-identification is at case-signature grain, the gate is attested belief rather than attested incident, and where a record shows community-internal harm arising from sincere belief, grief, poverty, or the availability of a marginal person as scapegoat, that is the cause that gets built — a corrupt broker may be one discoverable branch but never the mandatory explanation, because inventing a puppet-master to spare a community its own agency is a scrub rather than care and teaches the player something false. The community keeps authorship of its own repair, staged alongside the harm rather than only after it.

Sacredness tier for the supernatural beings of a living people (the returning/ancestral dead and guardian-spirits). Two tiers, ruled as a CLASS — binding identically wherever a living people's returning dead appears (the Rapa Nui aku-aku, the Caribbean duppy, the Shona vadzimu and mhondoro, and their kin). NEVER-FORCED, honored non-physically: named actively-venerated deities and specific named revered ancestral collectives (Pele; the huaka'i pō Nightmarchers; the Rainbow Serpent; senior royal ancestral spirits) — never a combat target, never leashed, per the Ch 57 Rainbow-Serpent carve-out below. FORCEABLE-THEN-FREED as the wronged-dead ethic: GENERAL folk-categories of the returning dead or guardian-spirit MAY be depicted as villain-forced-then-freed, gated by four standing conditions — the forcing is the crime and the being is always its victim, never fought-to-defeat; freeing the being (never defeating it) is the win and is restitution; the descendants' own true keeping stands on-stage as ally; and the being is rendered as the folk spirit-category with its malevolent or wronged members, NEVER as the venerated collective or a named supreme ancestor (the Ch-57-mirror guardrail — the line that keeps it on the playable side). The freed-victim frame is the STRONGER care posture: a self-willed spirit that simply shrugs off the binding would erase the historical violation the beat dramatizes and would override an emic cosmology (obeah's own tradition sets and binds a duppy), so omission is the failure here, not the safety.

17.12 Cardinal numerical canon

New-systems reconciliation (AAA re-architecture, ratified 2026-07-12). The L1 monster-breeding husbandry loop operates on the 400-plus ordinary tameable roster only; bred offspring are always ordinary-tier and never elevate to legendary, to a player familiar slot, or to a canonical evolution — the 33 legendary-tier species, the 22 familiar slots, and the three species-canonical familiar evolutions above are untouched by breeding (HL\_0057 plus HL\_0058; T3\_Familiars\_Named §1.7, T3\_Creatures\_Tameable §1.4). Two new live-layer registries carry the fun-mandate systems as structure — a Minigame/Contest registry (MG\_ prefix) and a Vehicle/Mount registry (VH\_ prefix); their existence is canonical, their row counts and columns are authorial and not set here. Two named L2 completion conditions enter canon: max upgrades on every craft (the Vehicle/Mount and base Domains buildables) and top score on every minigame. No cardinal count above changes; these are additive systems reconciled against the locked numerology.

17.14 Authoring discipline hard lines

17.15 Closing principle

The hard lines protect the substrate. They protect the player's experience from drift. They protect the cultures depicted from misuse. They protect the work itself from internal erosion across a 10-year development timeline and 30-million-word arc.

When in doubt, the hard line wins.

When canon is unclear, surface to author. Do not draft past uncertainty.

When two impulses appear to conflict, the hard line is the tie-breaker.

The CVD closes here. From this point forward, all canonical authoring routes through this document. T1 Surviving Seed Content (Phase 5\) populates against this canonical foundation. The Spine Build v2.4 (Phase 6\) audits Ch 2-77 plus Prologue and Epilogue against this canonical foundation. Project 1 Custom Instructions v3.8-Spine (Phase 7\) operates against this canonical foundation. The 30-million-word base game develops against this canonical foundation.

This is the foundational vision document. It is the lens through which every subsequent canonical decision is made.

§18. SHOW-DON'T-TELL DISCIPLINE

Mode: prose plus a short structured rule set Length: \~2 pages Source: Pillar 12 L3 canonical truth, §2 (Core Thesis), §3 (Eleven-Component Thesis Canon), §4.6 (Show, Never Tell), and the surfacing-discipline principle across Chunk A Downstream consumers: Quest Writing (heavy use), Cascade, Validation, all narrative authoring Layer 3 anchor: this section is the operational discipline that makes L3 work

18.1 The principle

The thesis (§2) and its eleven components (§3) are the substrate of the game world. The substrate is real. The substrate is canonical. The substrate is never declared.

Every chapter, every quest, every dialogue, every environmental detail, every weapon, every familiar, every ritual surfaces the substrate. None of them name it. The player encounters the metaphysical reality through what the protagonist does, what the protagonist sees, what mechanically responds to the protagonist's actions, what accumulates in the journal, and what the Grimoire links connect across cultures. The player draws conclusions. The game does not draw them for the player.

The Grand Sage Ch 76-77 reveal is the single canonical direct surfacing of the thesis in the 77-chapter arc. The reveal phrasing is locked. Pre-Ch 76 hints of Grand Sage identity are forbidden. The reveal lands differently for surface-track players, depth-track players, and canonical-truth players, but the reveal itself happens once.

18.2 The layered surfacing routes (Pillar 12 cross-reference)

The substrate surfaces through layered routes, each with its own routing mechanism:

18.3 What show-don't-tell forbids

The following are forbidden across all narrative authoring in the game:

18.4 What show-don't-tell requires

The following are required across all narrative authoring:

18.5 The discipline in practice

When a Quest Writing session is authoring a quest that touches the thesis substrate, the discipline is:

The Grand Sage reveal works because the player has earned the reveal through accumulated pattern recognition. The discipline of every preceding chapter is what makes the reveal land.

§19. RESTRUCTURE LOG AND DRIFT-HANDLING PROTOCOL

This section captures the canonical-reframe history for components that have shifted across CVD versions, and gives every authoring session clear protocol when it encounters legacy framing in any T1, T2, or T0 doc.

###

19.1 Component-reframe history (CVD v1.0 to v1.1, May 3, 2026\)

Six components plus the Component 11 anchor catalog were reframed in CVD v1.1 to remove Frame B leakage (the "here is real history mainstream science hides" frame associated with Hancock, von Däniken, Ancient Apocalypse) and route the canon cleanly through Frame A ("here is real material used as creative substrate for our fiction"). The reframes do not change the story. The metaphysical layer (Layer 3\) sits on top of real ancient capability and well-attested historical events rather than presupposing contested claims.

CVD v1.2 patch (May 3, 2026). Component 10 §3 reframe to drop residual defensive register and add canonical chapter anchors line; §17.12 22nd familiar-slot mechanic routed explicitly through three canonical Finales per §7.2 with intermediate bands (Drifting, Pure Evil terminal) resolving to closest Finale; Component 11 anchor-catalog paragraph merged from two paragraphs to one. No T1 cascade required — patches were CVD-internal cleanup, not Frame A/B substrate change.

19.2 Drift-handling protocol for any session

When any session encounters legacy framing in a T1, T2, or T0 doc that conflicts with CVD v1.1, the following protocol applies.

19.3 Doc-specific drift status as of CVD v1.1 lock May 3, 2026

All five affected T1 docs patched May 3, 2026\. Drift-handling protocol §19.2 in force for any future Component-substrate drift encountered in T2, T0, or downstream content.

CVD v1.2 to v1.3 lock May 4, 2026\. Architectural clarification edits, distinguished from v1.0 to v1.1 Component reframe drift. §0 Orientation extended with Authority Hierarchy clarification documenting the constitutional-vs-consumer infrastructure distinction (CVD plus T1\_Story\_Spine carry canonical authority and lock at completion; T1\_Build\_Pipeline\_Contracts and T1 reference docs iterate as build experience accumulates). §19 extended with §19.4 Fresh-Eyes Audit Cadence sub-section formalizing the audit protocol that maintains canonical authority across the 10-year build. Source: audit handoff dated May 4, 2026 covering Edit Blocks 7, 8, 9 architectural clarification rationale. No Component-substrate reframe at this lock; §19.2 drift-handling protocol unchanged from v1.1.

19.4 Fresh-Eyes Audit Cadence

Constitutional documents (CVD plus T1\_Story\_Spine) maintain canonical authority across the 10-year build through periodic fresh-eyes audit. Operational engagement creates blind spots that surface only through audit by sessions without conversational momentum.

Planned audit cadence:

Most audits surface minor refinements that fold into working drift response. Substantial drift detection triggers §19.1 through §19.3 protocol with full documentation. Audit-triggered §19 entries are the expected mechanism for canonical authority maintenance over the project lifetime. The count of §19 entries across 10 years should remain in the single digits if the foundation is sound.

The audit cadence is the maintenance protocol for the constitutional discipline. Without it, drift accumulates between unscheduled audits and the "locked forever" claim becomes aspirational rather than operational. The cadence ensures the canonical foundation gets read fresh at the moments where drift cost is highest and remediation cost is lowest.

19.5 May 5, 2026 — Progressive-Acquisition Device Mechanic Refinement

Trigger. Phase 5 Restructure Session 5G-2 design conversation surfaced that the prior "six vril-seats enhanced from start with player choice on which to skip" mechanic produced under-specialized playthrough identity — six-of-seven enhancement felt completionist rather than identity-forming. Choice through omission was inverted to choice through bonding.

Architectural change. The 7+6+1 device count remains canonical and unchanged. Six vril-seat-coupled devices, one Vimana device. The mechanic detail under the count refines from "all six EAM positions available from start, player chooses which one vril-seat remains standard progression" to "six devices acquire progressively across the arc through canonical chapter-event bondings, with three forced Ether bindings and three player-choice base-element bindings, and the unbonded base-element vril-seat emerges as the standard-progression vril-seat."

End-state per playthrough still matches Vril §2 hard line. Six vril-seat positions receive EAM device infusion per playthrough. One vril-seat position remains at standard twelve-tier progression per playthrough. The count holds. What changes is how the player arrives at that end state — through accumulated choices at canonical chapter beats rather than through a single character-creation toggle.

Acquisition schedule.

Vimana device. Device 1 of 7 in Vril §3 numbering. Activates at Ch 55 Atacama. Powers the Vimana flying vehicle. Does not bond to a vril-seat position. Not part of the vril-seat-coupled six. Unaffected by the §19.1 refinement.

Forced bindings rationale. Devices 1, 3, 5 bond to Ether vril-seats (Crown, Third Eye, Throat) at canonical narrative milestones because each bonding unlocks a story-gated capability tied to canonical main-story progression. Astral Projection, Probability Sight, and True Voice are not just mechanical abilities — they are canonical narrative-progression unlocks per CVD §17.7 plus §17.9 plus the canonical Ch 38 Azores midpoint plus Ch 56-57 cultural-substrate canon. The forced-Ether-bindings architecture preserves canonical narrative pacing across all playthroughs.

Player-choice bindings rationale. Devices 2, 4, 6 bond to base-element vril-seats (Root/Earth, Sacral/Water, Solar Plexus/Fire, Heart/Air) at player choice because base-element specialization is the primary axis of playthrough identity formation. Four possible skip-choice configurations across the four base elements — skip Air, skip Fire, skip Water, skip Earth — produce four distinct signature combo trios at endgame per T1\_Ability\_Tree §10.4. The player-choice mechanic creates the canonical replayability per CVD §10 character creation framework discipline.

Standard-progression vril-seat emergence. The seventh vril-seat — the one that never receives a vril-seat-coupled device — emerges as the standard-progression vril-seat by virtue of the player not bonding a device to it across Devices 2, 4, 6\. The standard-progression vril-seat is always one of the four base-element vril-seats under §19.1 mechanic, never one of the three Ether positions. Per Vril §3 Reading A canonical mechanic, the standard-progression vril-seat still progresses through all twelve levels — Tier 1 Neophyte through Tier 9 Magister Templi via Ch 77 prestige questline, Tier 10 Magus via Tier C MMO collective-action engagement. EAM device-infusion overlay is what the standard-progression vril-seat lacks; tier ceiling is unaffected.

Visibility to perceptive observers preserved. Per Vril §4 canonical framing, the standard-progression vril-seat signature is canonically visible to substrate-perception-capable in-world observers. Ch 57 Australian elder recognition references the standard-progression vril-seat signature. Ch 76-77 Grand Sage Waterfall reveal references the cumulative vril-seat-signature pattern. Both narrative beats land more strongly under §19.1 mechanic because the standard-progression vril-seat is now the consequence of accumulated player choices visible as the imprint of the protagonist's actual journey, rather than a character-creation toggle ticked at start screen.

Respec architecture. Two distinct respec operations per T1\_Ability\_Tree §5B. Mastery Point Respec reallocates per-capability discretionary point spend without changing device bondings. Device Bonding Respec rebonds Devices 2, 4, or 6 to a different base-element vril-seat without changing Mastery Point allocations. Devices 1, 3, 5 forced Ether bindings cannot be respec'd because they are tied to canonical narrative milestones. The Vimana device is not respec-affected. Respec rituals occur at trade compound sites with canonical body-and-mind transformation lineage — Trade 4 Herbalism plus Trade 5 Alchemy Adeptus Minor compounds. Material reagent expense plus multi-day to multi-week in-game ritual time cost. Free respecs at canonical transformation chapters (post-Ch 38 Azores midpoint, post-Ch 55 Atacama Vimana activation, post-Ch 77 main story completion). Integrity-neutral.

Hard line preservation per Vril §12.1. Seven devices, six vril-seats enhanced per playthrough end state, one vril-seat standard per playthrough end state, one Vimana. The Vimana is one of the seven devices. The seventh-vril-seat-standard outcome is intentional design per CVD §3 framing. No drift permitted toward "seven vril-seats enhanced" or any other count. The Vimana's Layer-2 promotion to a buildable and upgradable flying home-base (Vril §6.5) changes none of this: it is the same single Vimana craft upgraded on the Domains build grammar, still Device 1 of 7, and adds no eighth device.

Replacement blocks for §2, §4, §12.1 follow as paste-ready content. Apply in place at the canonical Vril doc.

19.6 May 17, 2026 — Ch 66-69 Threshold-Realm Canonical-Name Lock and Pacific Submerged-Continent Reference Resolution

SUPERSEDED IN PART by §19.8 (July 12, 2026). The Ch 66-69 four-realm occult-quartet name-lock recorded in this entry — Atlantis (Ch 66) / Pohljar (Ch 67) / Tiamarath (Ch 68) / Maatherion (Ch 69) — is superseded by the nine-realm Realm Road (Ch 66-74) at §19.8. Ch 66 Atlantis is RETAINED unchanged; the authorial coinages Pohljar, Tiamarath, and Maatherion are RETIRED in favor of the real Frame-A tradition-names their own substrate already carried. The other resolutions in this entry are NOT superseded and stand as canon: the §3 Component 11 anchor-catalog normalization (Nan Madol Ch 63, Newgrange Ch 24). The §3 Component 1 Pacific submerged-continent reference that this entry routed dual-purpose onto the now-retired Tiamarath name requires a separate re-homing decision (see §19.8). This entry is preserved as reframe-history.

Trigger. Phase 5.6 substrate authoring for the lost-civilization-cluster chapters identified §19.1 Component 1 "authorial naming pending" status for Ch 66-69 mythological realms as drift-risk for the highest-density substrate corpus of the 79-node arc. Authoring forward with unsettled chapter names would propagate drift into the threshold-realm content where Frame A discipline matters most. Constitutional-name lock executed before substrate-authoring launch.

Architectural change. Ch 66 Atlantis retained as canonical realm name. Atlantis routes Frame A clean at the canonical-source layer — Plato's Timaeus and Critias are documented classical-textual primary corpus, and the proper-noun's classical origin in Plato precedes and grounds the canonical use. Frame B downstream substrate (Donnelly 1882, Cayce, Blavatsky) routes reference-only-with-discipline per §19.2. Ch 67-69 receive fresh original realm names anchored in Frame A primary substrate from documented mythological-folkloric traditions cross-referenced to the substrate mechanic the chapter already carries. Each name pulls from a different real-world mythological tradition Frame A clean per §19.1; each name ties directly to the substrate mechanic the chapter carries. The cross-cultural reach across the four threshold realms matches the game thesis cultural-convergence canon per §3 Component 3 — Greek-classical Atlantis at Ch 66, Finnish-folkloric Pohljar at Ch 67, Babylonian-Akkadian Tiamarath at Ch 68, Egyptian Maatherion at Ch 69\. Tiamarath additionally resolves the §3 Component 1 Cultural memory clause Pacific submerged-continent canonical-reference slot via dual-purpose canonical assignment — Babylonian-Mesopotamian sea-mother proper-noun routed onto Pacific Zealandia plus Sundaland plus Beringia geological substrate. §3 Component 11 anchor catalog parenthetical-anchor canonical-format normalized at Nan Madol Ch 63 and Newgrange Ch 24 entries to match the existing format established by Göbekli Tepe Ch 25 and Sacsayhuamán Ch 51 entries.

Ch 67 Pohljar — reframes from Hyperborea / Thule. Hyperborea carries Greek classical-textual primary substrate (Pindar Olympian Odes, Herodotus Histories Book 4, Diodorus Siculus) that remains Frame A useful at Layer 2 investigative-depth, but the Hyperborea proper-noun also carries 19th-century occult-society uptake (Theosophical Hyperborean root-race claim per Blavatsky's Secret Doctrine) and 20th-century Nazi-occult appropriation. Thule's Greek origin in Pytheas of Massalia approximately 325 BCE is Frame A clean at the classical-source layer, but the proper-noun's Thule-Gesellschaft 1918 documented Nazi-occult uptake compromises it for canonical realm naming. Pohljar reframes to the Finnish Kalevala's Pohjola — the cold north-realm ruled by Louhi where the Sampo (a multi-faceted mythical artifact, at once a mill, an archive, a source of prosperity, and a knowledge-vessel) is forged by the smith Ilmarinen, guarded, contested, stolen, fought over, and ultimately broken. Pohjola's substrate fits the Ch 67 Vril Archive plus Mathematical Navigation realm mechanic at multiple layers — cold-Arctic-realm environmental match, mystic-archive narrative match, contested-knowledge-vessel mechanical match, multi-encounter-rich combat-and-puzzle-action gameplay match. The Kalevala is documented epic-folklore primary text (Lonnrot's standard edition 1849\) with no Theosophical or Nazi-occult uptake. Frame A clean. The Pohljar realm preserves Greek classical-textual Hyperborea substrate plus Pythagorean mathematical-cosmology substrate at Layer 2 investigative-depth — player encounters Pindar plus Herodotus plus Diodorus references plus Pythagorean mathematical-navigation tradition as documented sources behind the realm's mechanics — without the proper-noun's downstream contamination.

Ch 68 Tiamarath — reframes from Lemuria / Zealandia plus dual-purpose Pacific submerged-continent canonical reference. Lemuria-the-tradition is fully dropped per §19.1 Component 1 reframe — 19th-century Theosophical invention (Sclater 1864 hypothetical land-bridge for lemur-distribution; Le Plongeon 1870s; Churchward 1920s Mu-substrate appropriation) without any documented ancient primary-source basis. Zealandia is the documented submerged-continent (Mortimer 2017 GSA Today peer-reviewed) that serves as Frame A clean geological-reference-frame for the Ch 68 drowned-continent ecological-listening realm, but is a geological-science proper-noun rather than a mythopoetic realm-name. Tiamarath reframes to the Babylonian primordial sea-mother dragon-serpent Tiamat of the Enuma Elish creation tradition (Lambert Babylonian Creation Myths 2013 peer-reviewed Akkadian primary corpus; Foster Before the Muses 2005 Akkadian literature anthology). Tiamat's substrate fits the Ch 68 drowned-continent ecological-listening realm mechanic at multiple layers — primordial-sea environmental match, dragon-serpent biological-temporal match per Thread 2 serpent canon, creation-tradition substrate-listening narrative match, flood-memory Thread 4 cumulative-payoff anchor. The Enuma Elish is documented Akkadian-cuneiform primary text with no Theosophical contamination. Frame A clean. The Tiamarath realm preserves Zealandia geological-reference-frame per Mortimer 2017 at Layer 2 investigative-depth — player encounters documented Zealandia bathymetry plus Pacific submerged-continent geology behind the realm's environmental architecture — without Lemuria's Theosophical-tradition contamination. Cross-Ch 17 Mesopotamia primary corpus tie strengthens the routing — Tiamat is canonically encountered first at Ch 17 in the Enuma Elish via Esagila scribal-tradition substrate plus Ch 18 Levantine Ugaritic-cuneiform cross-script context, and returns canonically here at Ch 68 as the realm's substrate-anchor. Dual-purpose canonical assignment: Tiamarath also resolves the §3 Component 1 Cultural memory clause Pacific submerged-continent fictional-name slot, routing Babylonian Tiamat primordial-sea-mother substrate name onto Zealandia plus Sundaland plus Beringia geological substrate. The cross-cultural sourcing — Babylonian-Mesopotamian sea-mother proper-noun applied to Pacific submerged-continent geological substrate — demonstrates the trans-oceanic shared-origin convergence per §3 Component 3 cultural-convergence canon. The Indian Ocean basin region equivalent is carried by Meru Vedic cosmological-axis tradition plus Dilmun Sumerian Persian-Gulf tradition at the documented cultural-memory tradition substrate layer; no separate authorial fictional naming required for Indian Ocean equivalent.

Ch 69 Maatherion — reframes from Agartha. Agartha carries 19th-century occult-society load — French esotericist Saint-Yves d'Alveydre's Mission de l'Inde en Europe 1886 introduced the proper-noun; Theosophical uptake and 20th-century René Guénon hollow-earth-tradition routing followed. The Halley 1692 Royal Society hollow-earth hypothesis is documented historical-scientific record (peer-reviewed at its publication moment) and fit for Layer 2 investigative-depth, but the Agartha proper-noun via Saint-Yves and downstream compromises canonical realm naming. Maatherion reframes to the Egyptian goddess Ma'at — the personification of truth, justice, cosmic order, balance, and the heart-of-the-feather judgment ceremony performed in the Hall of Two Truths where the 42 Negative Confessions are recited and the heart is weighed against Ma'at's feather. Ma'at's substrate fits the Ch 69 Architect's Final Negotiation realm mechanic with direct substrate-tie — the 42 Negative Confessions canonical recitation event was previewed at Ch 15 Egypt Duat per §17.3 Vril plus Substrate hard line, and returns canonically here at Ch 69 as Cassius Velheim's Final Negotiation mechanic per §5 Pillar 2 materialized-argument-combat-against-Architect's-reasoning architecture. The Egyptian Book of the Dead's Spell 125 carrying the 42 Negative Confessions is documented funerary literature primary corpus (Faulkner translation 1985 British Museum edition; Pyramid Texts and Coffin Texts adjacent Allen translations; Assmann's The Search for God in Ancient Egypt 2001 for theological reception). Frame A clean. The Maatherion realm preserves World Tree axis-root architecture cross-cultural anchor at Layer 2 investigative-depth — player encounters Norse Yggdrasil plus Kabbalistic Sephirot plus Vedic Ashvattha plus Mesoamerican ceiba primary tradition references plus Halley plus Euler plus Symmes hollow-earth-tradition plus Tibetan Shambhala plus Norse Svartalfheim as documented sources behind the realm's dimensional architecture — with Egyptian Ma'at proper-noun as the realm's substrate-anchor.

Naming preservation across substrate tiers. The Ch 67-69 reframe replaces the canonical-realm-name proper-noun without erasing the substrate-tradition material the realm draws on. Hyperborea-substrate (Greek classical-textual primary plus Pythagorean mathematical-cosmology) routes within Ch 67 Pohljar as documented mythological-tradition material the realm references at Layer 2 investigative-depth. Zealandia geological-reference plus Pacific submerged-continent geology routes within Ch 68 Tiamarath as documented geological-substrate the realm's environment is built upon at Layer 2 investigative-depth. Agartha-tradition Halley plus Euler plus Symmes hollow-earth-tradition plus Tibetan Shambhala plus Norse Svartalfheim routes within Ch 69 Maatherion as documented World-Tree-and-inner-earth substrate the realm references at Layer 2 investigative-depth. Frame A discipline maintained throughout — Theosophical Lemuria-Mu-Hyperborea-Agartha proper-noun uptake routes reference-only-with-discipline per §19.2; primary classical-textual plus Akkadian plus Egyptian plus Finnish-folkloric plus peer-reviewed-geological substrate routes canonical Frame A. The canonical realm name is the proper-noun the game world uses; the substrate-tradition is the documented mythological-real material the realm references; the reframe operates at the name layer without disturbing the substrate layer.

Operational accounting separation. Replacement-blocks-by-section listing, drift queue resolution audit-trail, downstream propagation cadence across cleanup Sessions B and C, per-realm gameplay reference content for Session B authoring, and Phase 5.6 Chunk 5A launch sequencing — all recorded in the companion session-handoff artifact HUM-PRE-CHUNK-5A-CLEANUP-SESSION-A-COMPLETE per CVD constitutional-vs-operational separation discipline. This §19.6 entry carries constitutional reframe-history only.

19.7 July 8, 2026 — Precursor-Civilization Reality and Frame-A Anti-Hyperdiffusion Discipline

Trigger. The Foundation-enhancement L3 esoteric-grounding audit surfaced that §3 Component 3's Claim described the post-dispersal spread as survivors "embedding pre-deluvian frameworks within emerging cultural traditions" — structurally the discredited G. Elliot Smith and W. J. Perry "heliolithic" hyperdiffusionism, the early-20th-century model in which a single superior civilization taught the world, the trope most directly tied to the racist erasure of independent indigenous invention. Left unqualified, a build agent could explain every cross-cultural convergence as inheritance from the pre-deluvian source rather than independent achievement — a direct tension with Component 10 (ancient peoples were as intelligent as we are) and with the game's own §2 shared-substrate thesis, which already makes any physical-transmission mechanism unnecessary. The audit also called for the precursor-civilization reality to be stated explicitly and disciplined.

Architectural clarification — the precursor is real. The pre-deluvian precursor civilization, Atlantis (Ch 66), and the sunken mythological sites are canonically real in the game world per Component 1 and Component 7. The player discovers and navigates their drowned ruins and, through time-fluctuation, experiences them as thriving societies. This reality is grounded in documented science, not fringe claim. The end of the last glacial period drove a post-glacial sea-level rise of roughly 120 meters, about 400 feet, between approximately 13,000 and 7,000 years before present — the Meltwater Pulse 1A and 1B episodes — which submerged the coastal lowlands inhabited during the Last Glacial Maximum (Sundaland, Doggerland, Beringia, the Persian Gulf basin, the Atlantic continental shelf). The near-universal flood-memory documented across disconnected cultures (Thread 4) is the cultural record of that cataclysm.

Frame-A discipline — memory and independent invention, never hyperdiffusion. The cross-cultural convergence is canonically read as shared consciousness-substrate access (§2) plus independent local development — never as hyperdiffusion or inheritance from a single superior source. The dispersal carries memory (the flood record, Thread 4) and shared substrate access, not a transmitted body of pre-deluvian frameworks. Each surviving culture independently rebuilt its own civilization (Component 10), and every chapter credits the depicted culture's own agency and invention. The named failure mode to avoid is the Elliot Smith and Perry heliolithic diffusionism rejected across 20th-century anthropology in favor of independent invention and multilineal cultural evolution (the Boasian historical-particularism critique). The parallels the game draws on are explained by all minds reaching the same substrate plus the shared memory of one real cataclysm, not by one civilization teaching the world.

Change applied. §3 Component 3's Claim is reworded in place so the dispersal carries memory rather than embedded frameworks. Drift markers for §19.2: "embedding pre-deluvian frameworks," "taught the world," "inherited from the source-civilization," "carried the frameworks," or any framing that privileges transmission from a superior source over independent invention. This extends the §19.1 Frame-A discipline — the same move that reframed Component 9 from lost-civilization transmission to substrate-access — thesis-wide.

19.8 July 12, 2026 — The Realm Road: Ch 66-74 Nine-Realm Re-Architecture (supersedes the §19.6 four-realm name-lock)

Trigger. The Fable-5 whole-arc review (docs/review/FINDINGS.md) surfaced the endgame threshold band — the occult-quartet at Ch 66-69 plus the faceless fairy war previously carried at Ch 70-73 — as read-not-played slop: otherworld doors treated as iconography rather than lived places, over an authorial-coinage naming layer (Pohljar, Tiamarath, Maatherion) that sat one remove from the real traditions it drew on. The AAA re-architecture (charter docs/proposals/AAA\_REARCHITECTURE\_BRIEF.md; design docs/proposals/AAA\_REARCHITECTURE\_PROPOSAL.md WS2) re-designed the band as a lived road of real mythological otherworlds. Josh ratified the nine-realm slate and ordering on July 12, 2026 (decision D-RR).

Architectural change. The four-realm occult-quartet name-lock recorded at §19.6 is replaced by the nine-realm Realm Road spanning Ch 66-74. Each node is a real Frame-A otherworld of a culture the arc crossed, EXPLORED and FOUGHT (a genuine ultimate boss, not a read-and-passed door), each carrying exactly one of the nine crossing-functions, each paying off a mythology the player lived on the way out. Ch 66 Atlantis is RETAINED unchanged — Frame A clean per §19.6 (Plato's Timaeus and Critias primary corpus; the origin held authorial per §19.7). The three scrubbed coinages are retired in favor of the real tradition-names their substrate already carried: Pohljar becomes Pohjola / Sariola, the Kalevala Northland; Tiamarath becomes the Apsu, the Primordial Deep of the Enuma Elish (Tiamat's tradition restored to its own name); Maatherion becomes the Duat, the Egyptian night-country. Nodes are REPURPOSED, never added — the built Ch 70-72 fairy content folds into the compressed fairy finale at Ch 75-77 (recorded separately); the count holds at 77 chapters plus Prologue plus Epilogue.

The nine-realm slate (Frame-A otherworld, one crossing-function each).

Frame-A discipline (unchanged, reinforced). Each realm sources from documented tradition only — no Theosophy, Ariosophy, or occult-lost-race lineage, no hyperdiffusion per §19.7. The loudest guardrails ride the keystone and the final approach: Atlantis holds authorial (origin equals the shared consciousness-substrate every mind reaches via independent invention per §2 and §19.7, never a master continent that colonized earth); the Apsu is firewalled from the Theosophy Lemuria / Zealandia weld the old §19.6 Tiamarath carried; Yggdrasil is held Frame-A clean against its Ariosophy and Nazi-occult appropriation. Pohjola is not Thule or Hyperborea occultism and is never Sámi-conflated.

Reveal architecture preserved. The Ch 65 lock-in remains the gate immediately before Ch 66; the whole Realm Road is upstream of the single Ch 76-77 thesis release and leaks no pattern — no realm's mirror-of-retribution iconography (Xibalba) is wired to the thesis mirror-lattice. Ch 38 mid-reveal and Ch 65 lock-in are untouched.

School debuts unchanged. The SCH\_010-013 threshold-school debuts stay in order at Ch 66-67-68-69; their disciplines already match those four realms, and SCH\_013 is natively the Duat's Ma'at 42-Confessions DECLARE and WEIGH, honoring §17.3. The five added realms (Ch 70-74) showcase and extend existing disciplines and author no new schools — the 13-school count and the 120-gate mastery scaffold are unchanged (ratified D-RR.5).

§19.6 resolutions carried forward or flagged. The §3 Component 11 anchor-catalog normalization from §19.6 (Nan Madol Ch 63, Newgrange Ch 24) is unaffected and stands. The §3 Component 1 Cultural-memory Pacific submerged-continent reference that §19.6 resolved by dual-purposing the now-retired Tiamarath name is RE-HOMED onto the Ch 68 Apsu (ratified Josh 2026-07-12, the A-refined resolution): the Apsu is the authorial realm-name over the Pacific drowned geology, with the basin's real memory attributed to its own peoples (the Māori Te Riu-a-Māui; the Nunn-Reid deep-time coastal-memory traditions) and the Lemuria/Mu firewall held — the Apsu carries the Pacific reference on the Enuma Elish's own tradition, never the Theosophy Lemuria/Zealandia weld the retired Tiamarath had carried.

Operational accounting separation. The operative realm-name locks live at §17.7 (companion amendment), the per-realm boss and care detail at the re-cascade node builds, and the WS2 design rationale at docs/proposals/AAA\_REARCHITECTURE\_PROPOSAL.md. This §19.8 entry carries constitutional reframe-history only.

§20. AUTHORING OUTPUT STANDARDS

Output formatting standards apply to all author-bound canonical content — CVD, T1 docs, T0 registry prose, T2 ChapterDesign briefs, T3 Character pages, T4 antagonist content, T5 Questline content, T6 Weapons content, T8 Region pages, and Tier 99 operational docs. The discipline exists to keep paste-into-gdoc clean across the 10-year build.
